Why the tools are free
Teachers bring new players to bridge, and many of them find their way to Cuebids. We would rather give something back than charge for that. If you teach and bring your students, the teacher tools cost you nothing.
Your students play on their own accounts, so the only thing we ask is the part you do anyway: teaching.
Getting teacher tools
- Open Teach with Cuebids
In the app, open the Library and tap the card that starts Teach with Cuebids.
- Answer two questions
Where you teach, and roughly how many students you have at a time. That is all the form asks; your name and email come from your account.
- Start teaching
Your tools are on as soon as you send it, free for six months. You also get a welcome email with where to start.
How they stay free
As long as you are bringing students to Cuebids, your teacher tools stay free. We look every six months and renew them for you, without you doing anything.
What you can build
All of it lives in Teach, a workspace made for a computer screen: Overview, Lessons, Flashcards & quizzes, Boards and Classes, side by side. Your students use the app as usual and never see it.
Lessons
Pages with hands and auctions, flashcards and quizzes, and practice at the table, in one lesson a student works through at their own pace.
Boards and sets
Sets of boards from your own play, by deal type or from a PBN file, each with your suggested auction and comment.
Your class
A class group where you share lessons, run class events from your sets, and see how far each student got.
What your students pay
Reading a lesson is free. Practice at the table costs tickets, as practice always does on Cuebids: a lesson’s practice and a class event cost a ticket a board. Every account, free ones too, gets 48 tickets a month, and a student with Heart pays nothing extra.
A lesson’s practice is open to every student in the class whatever their plan, so a deal type you pick is one they can play even if their own subscription does not include it.
Sharing a lesson with everyone
A lesson you are proud of can reach more than your class. Send it to Cuebids from the lesson’s page in Teach. If we publish it for every player, it carries your name, and we thank you with a gift: tickets or Heart time, as codes you can use yourself or pass on.
Common questions
Do I need Heart to teach?
No. Teacher tools are free for teachers who bring their students, and Heart includes them too.
Do my students need a subscription?
No. They play on free accounts if they like: reading lessons is free, and practice costs tickets from the 48 every account gets each month.
What happens to what I build if the tools end?
It stays yours, and stays playable. Your lessons, sets and classes are not deleted.
Can I use Teach on my phone?
It works on a phone, but it is made for a computer, where a lesson and its preview sit side by side.
