What you need first
Very little. Have these ready and the rest takes a minute.
- An email address you can open, or a Google or Apple account to sign in with.
- A device: any browser on a computer, or the Cuebids app on iPhone, iPad, or Android.
- A display name your partner will recognize. It is shown to the players you bid with and on leaderboards, and it can be changed later.
Create your account
- Open Cuebids
Go to www.cuebids.com in any browser, or install the app from the App Store or Google Play. The account is the same either way, so you can start on a computer and carry on from a phone.
- Choose Create free account
The first screen offers Login for people who already have an account. Under it is Not a member? with a Create free account button. Pick that one.
Not a member? How it looks in the app - Enter a display name
This is the name your partner sees. It has to be at least three characters; Next stays greyed out until it is.

How it looks in the app - Accept the terms
Check the box next to I’ve read and agreed to the Terms of use. The next screen will not open until it is checked.
How it looks in the app - Add a referral code, if you have one
Once the name and the checkbox are filled in, a Referral code field appears. Enter the code if a club or a friend gave you one. An account created without a code works exactly the same.
How it looks in the app - Pick how you want to sign in
Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, Continue with ACBL, or an email address with a password of at least six characters. Apple is not offered on Android, and Swedish players get a Bridgeförbundet option too. Whichever you choose is how you sign in from then on, so pick the one you will still have in a year.

What happens after you sign up
Cuebids asks a short set of questions before it hands you the app. There is no wrong answer to any of them, and every one can be changed later in settings.
- Who you want to practice with: a regular partner, a mix, or on your own.
- Whether robot practice should be available when your partner is not.
- Which system Lia should use, and whether she answers immediately or gives you a moment.
- Bidding hints, how the cards should look, and whether each bid needs confirming before it is sent.
Signing in later
One account covers every device. Install the app after signing up on the web and your sessions are already there.
- Sign in the same way you signed up. An email account and a Google account with the same address are not the same login.
- Forgotten the password: use Forgot password? on the login screen and Cuebids emails you a reset link.
- Still stuck: write to [email protected] and say which email address you used.
Bring your partner in
Practicing with a robot needs nobody else. Bidding with your regular partner needs them to have their own free account, and then to be added as a friend.
Common questions
Is Cuebids free?
Yes. Bidding with a human partner costs nothing at all. Tickets pay for advanced robots, including Lia in partner’s seat, and a free account gets 48 a month.
Does my partner need an account too?
To bid with you, yes, and it is free for them as well. To practice on your own you need nobody: Lia sits in partner’s seat.
Can I use the same account on my phone and my computer?
Yes. Sign in the same way on both and the sessions follow you between them.
Do we have to be online at the same time?
No. The auction waits for whoever is next to call, and Cuebids notifies you when it is your turn.
What should I use as a display name?
Whatever your partner will recognize. It is shown to the players you bid with and on leaderboards, and you can change it later in settings.
I already have an account but cannot sign in
Use Forgot password? on the login screen to get a reset link by email. If the address is not recognized, the account was probably created with Google or Apple; try those buttons instead.
